In this video, outreach workers, Michael Eckhart of Nation's Finest and Mitch Watson of Hunger & Homeless Coalition of Collier County, share their approach to engaging unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness.
Grounded in people-first values, they attribute the success of their work to the utilization of harm reduction strategies, housing first, and community partnerships. Between May and December 2020, they have supported more than 50 unsheltered individuals to move into permanent housing.
